Douglas is the leading premium beauty platform in Europe and scaling its platform and marketplace model step-by-step across the continent. Based on the #FORWARDBEAUTY.digitalfirst strategy Douglas combines its online-shop, marketplace partners and offline stores on a connected and data-driven digital platform. Max explains the journey of Douglas from a brick & mortar retailer to becoming a digital company and emphasizes the curated marketplace and its effects on all relevant KPIs as well as assortment and online marketing channels (e.g. SEO).

Max is leading the departments of online marketing, data intelligence and retail media at Douglas since 2018 and also took over the responsibility for the marketplace which is one of the key growth drivers for the Douglas platform. Besides running the in-housed online marketing for more than 20 countries and all Douglas companies, his role also includes data related topics such as web analysis, data activation and marketing technology. In 2019 Max was involved in founding and scaling the retail media spin-off Douglas Marketing Solutions. Previously he founded the bargain platform Cherry Möbel and spent 6 years at HolidayCheck as Head of Performance Marketing & CRM.
